FUNCTION
The Cerebellum is located at the base of the skull. It is the master of muscle function. The Cerebellum helps maintain balance and to provide smooth directed movements. It coordinates voluntary movement, balance and equilibrium. It also holds some memory for reflex motor acts.
OBSERVED PROBLEMS
- Inability to coordinate fine movements
- Inability to walk
- Inability to reach out and grab objects
- Tremors
- Dizziness (Vertigo)
- Slurred speech (Scanning Speech)
- Inability to make rapid movements
